Exclamation I (don't) believe in Money and Internet ?!

    Hi Sitepointers!

Our Internet is a great space to share knowledges cultures ideas and my others cool things. Throw one year ago the degree of making money subjects from the net is growing very fast in unbelievable way. Is Making money from internet is very simple at that way? i don't believe in that. many ads on google showing "500$/day" "30000$/mounth" "30$/hours" and their common text is "no computer/Internet knowledges is needed" , "no much time also is needed" and so on.
In my region Mediterranean sea, this is the new Mode or look in the Internet. How to make money from your house in little time.

Is that is true , what do you think.

making money and investing little time is not going to happen. There is a correlation between input and output when it comes to earning money on the internet. In that way it's no different from the real world.

Only the ones that try to sell you those quick schemes will end up making money. It has always been this way, the gullible will play lotteries, they will believe that snake oil will cure an illness, they think pyramid schemes work, they think that money grows on trees and is there for the plucking if one would only have the insight that they hope to gain from the seller of the quick scheme

You're doing a good thing to ask. Those ads play on people's lack of knowledge and the fact that most people are naturally naive. Also greed which overwhelms any sign of common sense. A good thing to do after stubmling upon such an ad is to research. But people skip that part and eagerly feed someone's already fat wallet. Obviously in today's world, there are no money trees and cheese is only free in moustrap. The Internet might look like wild west, but even in wild west there were no money trees and free cheese was only in moustrap.

Undoubtedly, the internet as medium has an enormous potential. Nothing else in human history ever had such a potential. But that doesn't mean free money, the medium is virtual, but economy is not. What do you think would happen if everyone and his dog started earning $xxxx/hour?

All common sense, never let your greed take over control.

There are thousands of ways to earn money on the internet, but competition is harder everyday because new businesses are being born everyday, so the sooner, the better.

When you build a business in internet, you have to work hard to make it viable, but once you've done it, it allows you to work just a few hours to maintain it and then enjoy your time with your family and friends. But the reason is very simple: most of the tasks are automated and it is the server that handle the work for you. Still, if you don't look after your business, you will start to lose money as you will soon enough have hundreds of people doing exactly what you are doing.

Another advantage is that you can work from your own home (although this has disadvantages too)

Nevertheless, to get to this point of just spending a few hours per week in your business, you will have to had work really hard in both building your programming and automatization process and marketing.

    Is it possible? Yes
Is it easy? No, it is harder day by day
Is it worth it? I'd say yes, but then, it depends on your goals

Oof, your reply eases me !! it is not so easy then I think this type of sites and Ads are just scam to catch peoples' mail and spam them, generally : a long explaining pages and at the end "please your email" to be up to date !!

When you build a business in internet
what do you think of hosting/domain reseller for example?

I think that it is extremely competitive, but it doesn't matter how competitive a niche is, it can be done because everyday another company messed up (unfortunately) and it will leave room for someone else.

First, I would ask you if you really like it or you just thinking about it as a logical internet business. If the second, I would suggest that you choose something you really love. You are going to be fed up with it, so if you like it, it is so much easier to go over boredoom and frustration (and there will be some of that, nothing works as expected in the first second).
Customers can be extremely annoying, and you will be the one to blame for everything, so a good company policy and lots of patience help a lot.

Also, confirm that the services of the company you are reselling are of good quality, to save you some headaches.

You could complement it with other services (like selling templates, or books related to computers, hosting, web design, etc).

Still, this would not make you different from others. Even if this was the case, if you make your site easy to use, and market it wisely and intelligently (which doesn't mean spending tons of money in publicity) it will work.

If you had something else that makes you different to others, it will be slightly easier for you to get some market.

Make a business plan, calculate your cost, study your competitors, and when you have your model created, then, go for it.

Ah, and don't worry if you fail the first time (or the nineth, or the hundredth). If you study what you do wrong and correct it, eventually, it will work.

Take it seriously, work hard, inform yourself properly, promote... if you don't give up, you will succeed.

PS: I would visit some other sections of SP forum in regular basis, like the promotion techniques forum, you will find great information there. Also, I would compare the information with others, and with specialised magazines, and watch what others are doing, etc.

Thank you very much molona for your quick reply!!
Well I love this world : Internet, I'm a small a "very" small business in web design in my region, and I think a reselling program/project is a successful couple with web design. This idea excite me because it is possible, low cost and wonderful. Especially in my region the web design and hosting is not that competitive.

Thanks again for your support, and have cool time :-)

Find your niche (you seem to have found it already), know those customers, their needs and what is important to them, how you can help them and know how you can reach them and the rest should come easy.

It is often people that are trying to make the "quick buck" or convince people that it is easy that make the internet so cluttered. You can absolutely make great money from the internet, but you need a clever plan to do something that brings added value to many people.

If you want to make money here are my best tips

1/ Business Plan - essential to your success! The better your plan the more you make! Spend money and time in this area.
2/ Ignore the noise, ignore the so called "expert" - many people around the net are just pushing their own agenda. Time is a resource thats hard to replace.
3/ Many web small business's are massively under funded - if you are the same you must have a source of funds. Many, many times "Self-funding" can be a slow boat to nowhere.
4/ Understand where your income is derived from on day 1 of the business - most people place the idea before the income. I'm saying think about it the other way ... find the income then develop the idea!

Of course feel free to ignore these comments if you want.

I really dont know if theres any easy way to make money online - to be honest, I think making money anywhere requires the same level of input.

    Time, money, and effort.

Knowledge and experience is the key.

It is very, very easy to make $3,000 - $10,000/month part time on the web. Here is all you need.

    1. Unique product
    2. Large base of interested internet customers
    3. Finding the right advertising plan to find those customers at a very low cost.
    4. Building a website that creates trust between you and the customer so they are willing to buy from you online without contacting you.
    5. A smattering of other "simple" things (hosting, domain name, merchant account, belief in miracles).

    See, how hard is that?

I believe more people have won the lotter than have made it big on the web with just a few hours a week.

Well it depends on how much you are earning. There are only a lucky few with the patience and time in hand to actually learn the things and make big bucks off it.

For example when I was 13, I had free time, high speed internet, so instead of playing games I fooled around with the internet, tried programs (Paid to read emails, affiliates, adsense) and now quite good at it.

And as for technical knowledge goes, I just picked up. Like PHP, CSS, XHTML, SEO, and other cool things that can maximize your time, and save or make money.

If you are starting out, don't expect to make money off the internet right away. If you get a job online then may be there's a chance of making steady income, but other than that you will need to invest time, and money to build a successful business/website.

Another thing I believe is entrepreneurs are born, not made. Little bit of luck, and hard work can work wonders .

The $5K income they advertise are not quite B.S but only a few can achieve such status.

Making money online is not as easy as some ads like the ones you mentioned make it seem like. You can make money from the Internet of course but what is needed is a lot of things. The best way is to create your own product,in that way you can make money in a good way.

I wish making money in the Internet was easy. But but like making money in other businesses, it simply isn't. Yes, One thing that sets Internet apart from the other is that it does make starting out relatively easier. You put your business up on the web and suddenly it's accessible to the entire world. However, to make it truly successful you'll have to spend grueling number of hours into making your business work. Even having done all that, success can hardly be guaranteed. What if you started with a wrong product in the first place, or had a business model that was flawed in the very root, or you didn't reach out to the right set of customers?

i would not talk much here and will tell you only one thing that online money is patience game and you have to play this game in such a way that at the end you are the Winner.

I started my online career from $3 a day and these days i have reached $500 a day so patience is the key factor if you wish to make online money.

I dropped about $5,000US on trying to make money on the internet before I finally figured it out. The toughest part about it is coming to the realization that it requires WORK.

Molona described it best in her posts and you should follow her advice.

I just started to see profits from my internet businesses after putting in about 2 months of solid work with no returns.

I spent A LOT of time reading and learning before 'taking the plunge'. I wish you all the best and if you need any other info please feel free to contact me.
    Best regards,

    Jeff

When I read ads or some kind of marketing scheme to promote the ease of which you could obtain money by knowing what's in their ebook I see it more of as a do as I do then a do as I say kind of thing in that if these people really had found a top dollar earner they wouldn't sell the idea unless selling it was making much more then the idea it's self. So in the end your much better off building up a knowledge and understanding of making money and the internet then creating your own idea's that you could sell because it will make you more selling an idea then using someone else's or keep it to yourself to keep the competition down.
