Audio Software Recommendations
Hey everyone,
I am searching for some fairly good quality audio recording software to do voice overs with.
I currently own a copy of Pro Tools with an M-Box interface, but Pro Tools CONSTANTLY crashes my laptop (running on windows xp, 512 MB RAM).
I am searching for something that will give me good sound quality and not crash my system.
I recently found an open source solution called Audacity... Is anyone familiar with this or any other software that may fit the bill?
Thanks.

Yes, I'm very familiar with Audacity and have been using it for a few years. The BEST thing about this software starting off is that it's totally FREE. It's also fairly easy to use, very stable, and has a lot of advanced options.
I have used Audacity for voice-overs, recording wav's & MP3's, and often use it to record incoming feed from my police scanner.
If you'd like to go with other popular recording software on the market today, Guitar Center has some available here: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Recordin...n---Utility.gc
I hope this information helps.Darren Stevenson - Programmer
