I am just starting to learn perl and maybe someone can help me with this:
I would like to call a PHP-script from within a perl-script and have the content of PHP-file stored in a variable. This is probably pretty basic, I just can't find my way around in the perl doc!
Thanx a lot

you can use tick marks to evoke a shell command to run the php script. I'm not sure how you would run php scripts from the shell, but here is an example of the syntax.
$variable = `php somescript.php`;

I have php to run as AND module on my servers, but note, most people do not od that.... most have it installed as module only, and in that case, $var = `php file.php`would not work
it would be hard to include it like that..

I think there might have been a discussion on usenet about this a few days ago. I'm not positive, but it would have been in comp.lang.perl.misc
