How do you ensure data safety?

As a developer, I have a lot of "mission critical" graphic and code files on my PC. However, I am not freelancing, rather this stuff is all just for personal use and practise. This makes me paranoid.


Having lost data before, apart from a security application (ie Mcafee Sec Center) and spyware removal apps, what other techniques do you fellow developers use to ensure data safety?

I have a windows service written to back important stuff up to my hosting space, but want to develop redundancies.

I have an old i686 running Ubuntu and SVN, I have a separate SVN directory for my documents and programming files etc.

So you're already backing it up. You're worried that your PC and your host's server are going to be simultaneously destroyed?
