online design portfolio
ive looked around and found many different answers, basically i've been working for a couple of IT companys that do web design services (me being the only designer there as its a small part of their business). Im working as a freelancer now and was wondering if im able (legally) to include site ive built/designed on my personal portfolio if ive worked on them while at the previous company?
thanks in advance.

I think you would be fine to link to sites you have worked on legally. Personally I would always speak to the client and get their permission though, it's 1) Common courtesy and 2) Keeps you in touch with someone who pays for web design!

yes i think its the best bet, i will contact the company i worked for and ask for permission to show the sites and/or link to them. Hopefully it will go through fine.

Don't waste your time begging, they won't let you do it.

What I have seen on a few occasions is people saying:
"Heres some work that I Helped work on while I was working at (x), my roles were (y) and you can find their website at (z)"
This is still not a completely fair way of going about it, but it does allow for both parties to get something out of it.Function - Great Design Meets Great Functionality
