Thats nice. . . But If I am at home, I am not going to watch a game on some small lap top. I am going to sit back on the couch and watch it on a 60 inch screen.

Couldn't agree with you more . You do realize On-Demand was introduced just to compete with Internet, because people tend to use the internet more since everything is is on-demand .

I use my computer more than my tv. I generally don't watch sports. A movie every once in a while on tv.

But for news, weather, games and forums, it's either my laptop or my free linuxbox.

I wonder if it would look any larger. Think about it, how large does a 60" screen look from 6-10 feet away, compared to a 24" HD moniter from 2 feet?

    Thumbs up Absolutely

I used to love TV, and still have my shows, but more and more often I find it to be a rehash of the same crap.

Anymore when I watch TV, it's only when I take the time to look over the top of my laptop's LCD.

I think in countries where Internet access is common Internet is becoming more popular than TV.

The only things I watch on TV are documentaries and the occasional Simpsons and Futurama. Apart from that I can't stand TV.
I can't understand how people go to work all day then sit in front of the TV for the rest of the night. Waste of life!

if you mean entertainment vs internet then internet is given much priority as compare to business you can buy or sell or do almost anything where as on entertainment you can only watch telecast.

    TV is the internet...

In the future, the TV and the internet will become so intertwined that people will forget that they used to be separate. And the phone as well.

Here's what the future will really be like.

    Its funny really...

Most of us have lost interest in television and yet its probably the most powerful in terms of marketing and promotion of our online businesses!

In the United Kingdom I can definitely see the Internet taking over from Television earlier than anywhere else. I use the Internet now for most, if not all of my television watching. I can watch Lost and Heroes long before they come out here, I can watch sport from my laptop from the programmes respective websites, and good shows are easier to come by on the Internet than what we are fed by our leading channels. Why would I want to watch endless reality TV shows when I can go onto Google Video and watch loads of Mock The Week episodes completely free? Once I'm in the mood I can also see what comedy America is dishing out by searching a few websites and coming across something good there. There is no way I am going to pay for TV License when the state of TV is so dire.

The one thing Television has that the Internet doesn't is established producers, and I can honestly expect that to change sometime soon. Within the next few years TV production companies will start to move away from the channels their show represent and publish their shows directly online. Potentially, some channels may even set up shop solely on the Internet, using their budgets to set up advertising online and produce shows just to stream on the Internet. Imagine how much could potentially be earned if the next series of Heroes were to appear solely online in HD quality for all to watch.
