    AFAIK WordPress adds "nofollow" to all links. In fact, there are plugins that undo this for those wanting bots to follow them.

    I'm talking about hiding affiliate links that can be seen at the bottom of there browser when they put there mouse over a hyperlink. I'm not talking about nofollow.

    footer links

    OK, now I understand. I thought you didn't want search bots to follow outside links. If you don't want them the easiest thing to do would be to hack the theme. Depending on what you're using, the most likely place is in the footer.php file. You could either remove the link's code or comment it out like
    HTML Code:
    <!--
    Design by <a href="http://affiliate_site.com" title="Designer Site">Designer Site</a>
    -->
    Or if you just want to get rid of the mouse over text, remove the title attribute.

    Sorry Mittineague, I think you still don't understand. He's not talking about those either.

    Have a look at http://patchlog.com/wordpress/hidden-affiliate-links/ - that's the first result from http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

    :d'oh: I should get more in the habit of noticing what forum a thread is posted in. I'm so used to people wanting to improve their SEO that I forget there may be times when sacrificing your site coming up in a Google search is justified.
