    UpdatePanel (GridView)

    Hi!

I have used ButtonField in my GridView, to add events to each and every cell of the GridView. ( I have made all the cells of the the GridView Editable."Click on it to Edit." Taken help from the following link.

    http://www.codeproject.com/KB/webfor...viewCells.aspx.

Now, my page posts back at each click on the cells of GridView, which obviously, I do not want. So, I encapsulated my GridView within the Update Panel. But it stil posts back. I want to add <Triggers><asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger Control=""/></Triggers>. But, ButtonField obviusly doesn't have a ControlId.

    So, is there a workaround?

I am thinking using a LinkButton in Itemplate. But, is there a better way? Only thing I like to achive is NO POSTBACK.

    Thanks

First, an UpdatePanel still is a postback. Just alot smoother.

Best bet in this case is to skip the triggers and just set the panel to UpdateMode="Always".
