Can`t position footer, I nees help asap, PLEASE

I might look stupid but...
I have this page http://www.ulpia-traiana.ro/UJ/ and i can`t position footer.
Please somebody help me.

You have bigger issues than that. You're mixing floats and absolute positioning to create your layout, which you shouldn't do. Floats and negative margins I can see doing (in fact, I do it all the time). You're also mis-using tables as well.

If you don't mind me asking, what language is the Web site going to be published in? (I'd like to try a rewrite here for you, so you can see how I'd code this, and then learn from it.)

It would be great if you can show me how to code that, I ussualy don`t code but I'm open for learning.

Ok. What's the red background I'm seeing in Opera for?

Well, the red background you see in Opera is actually the footer I can`t position.

Ok, so there's no real background, save for a white background that spans the entire Web site? (Plus the red footer.)

The background is white and the footer will have a background something similar with the horizontal menu at the top, I just made it red to see where it is.

(By the way, when I add background colors even though images are present - leave them there. Dialup users who surf with images turned off - such as AutisticCuckoo - will be in for a rude surprise otherwise.)
