    multi user blog software

A friend and I are starting a finance blog. Main features we are looking for are :

    - separate blog for each person
    - the main page integrates the posts of both users
    - can view each person's blog separately
    - easy to install and use
    - possible to transfer content later on into a bigger website (not necessary to use the same platform to expand beyond a blog)

I've looked around a bit, but there are so many choices! I currently use wordpress for a single user blog and it is fine, but maybe there's something better for our purpose. Thanks for any help.

If there are just the two authors any decent blogging system will allow you to segregate each persons entries by category, by month etc, so you don't really need "multi user" capabilities unless you want each blog as a separate site.

Okay thanks. I used wordpress for my previous blog, will that be good enough? Do I need wordpress MU? Also, we might expand to beyond 2 authors at some point. Is it going to be a problem to move the blog to a new platform in the future?

Regular WordPress will be fine, especially since it has the capability to handle multiple authors. See Search This for a wondeful example of this in action.
