yea, my traffic is very low!
well, then promote it. if you believe that your content is good and fresh, there wont be a way that people would want to read it. now what you have to do is to make them see that your blog exists. you can do it with social bookmarking sites, press release and a lot of other advertising methods.
Yes installing the plug in in just 1 step in for good SEO. You need dozens of steps for better SEO. Like doing the right permalinks, right amount keywords, promoting your blog, etc.Originally Posted by skyhigh007

Regularly updated content, of course, the content is valuable
Do all the things manually for your blog, like blog directory submission, RSS submission, forum participation, comment posting and so on.
I usually do social bookmarking , article submission ,blog comments to increase traffic to my blog. Also i am careful about the contents of my blog. It should be unique.

I participate in social bookmarking sites and social network and I'm getting a good traffic in twitter as long as you continue gaining your targeted followers.
Meta Tags are important and so is content so you have to make sure that you adding fresh new and unique contents daily if not weekly. Start promoting your blog by joining blogging community and social networking. Acquire back links from high ranking PR sites as well. My blog is not really performing well in terms of traffic and SE positioning but I don't have the right to complain because I don't spend a lot of time maintaining and promoting it

How i promote my sites:
- write quality comments on blogs with a similar theme to my site

- add my site to directories and social bookmarking sites
- write articles for articles directories with links to my site
- I pray to God some bloggers to publish a link to my siteit is joke, but if you have good and quality content you will have a lot of backlinks from blogs
you can add articles to your blog ,and exchange links with others for backlinks.......
Doing seo for a blog is totally similar to promoting a website. So do all on page and off page activities that we generally do with our website
