getting document.referrer past the ampersand in URL

When using document.referrer to get the referring URL it only sees up to the ampersand

    i.e. www.something.com/script?name=value&

Is there any way to get the rest of the URL?

    Should be working fine

Well... i thought it did show the whole thing. Have you tried alerting location.href onunload of the previous page?

    Hi,

Actually I don't have control over the referring pages... I'm using this to report page referrers to my eBay auctions... like what people searched for to find my auction, how many click-thrus from what category or page, etc...

I can log all of that info, but just can't get the contents of the search since the keywords come after the ampersand in the URL.

Do you have to have control of the referring page to accomplish that?

I'll post the code I'm using in a little while.

    Thanks for your help.

    I'm going to assume

That there is nothing after the ampersand, but try running some tests on your client.
