    yahoo/google

    How come my site shows up on the first page of yahoo search and on google I cant even find it on the top 10 ? What do I need to do ?

    They have very different algorithms and it's natural not to rank well on both. If you want to improve your rankings in Google then you need to get more relevant links to your pages. That would be in addition to making sure your site is optimized properly.

    That would work better if it was Google, but IIRC Yahoo has a preference for content over links.

    Correct. Google's off page factoring is more advanced then Yahoo's at this point in time. (Yahoo is more advanced then MSN which is more advanced then the chair I am sitting on).

    Its search algorithm is more advanced. But it's not very good would off page factors yet!
