    Need Professional Help

    Hey,

Working on a website at www.theweddingshow.com.au

There is a problem when you view this site in the latest version of safari, all other browsers seem fine though. I am a web developer however this stuff seems too complicated even for me. Its coming from a javascript library in the site and I cannot seem to figure out whats causing the error and feel I need someone who is an expert at javascript to have a look.

If anyone is interested let me know.

Here is the error message FYI.

Error in Kore.jSLoader.interpretSource: [Value undefined (result of expression Kore.DataProvider) is not an object. Cannot be used with new.]

CAUTION! This site plays a movie with audio when you load it. You might want to turn down/off your volume before looking if you're at work and in an open-plan environment.

I wonder if the kore.js script you are using is coming into conflict with prototype.js or something else. I also wonder if it is really doing anything for you on the site (the code has been obfuscated beyond reading so I can't tell what it's for). Try removing the call to this script and see if it helps and if anything breaks: http://www.theweddingshow.com.au/includes/kore/kore.js

OK removing the call to the file did fix the problem, however caused a whole bunch of other problems within the site, which I suspected would happen.

Really need this problem fixed, if anyone out there thinks they can fix it please reply or msg me.

    cheers.

siteguru, this is a bit rich coming from you, considering what happens when someone follows the second link in your signature (http://elfuego.siteguru.co.uk).

I'm not asking anyone to follow the links in my signature, nor asking them to view it to report their comments.

Also, since this is a website of a band then playing the track is appropriate.

That said, I've updated my sig.

I would say it is NEVER appropriate, even when it is something to do with a band. Much more appropriate would be to have some text saying "Listen to our band!" followed by some links to songs performed by the band, or a flash player that will play it in-browser, but only when the user chooses it to.

Thanks Raffles, I don't want to have to opt-out either. If I'm faced with having to opt-out, I will quite likely do so completely and walk away from them entirely.

    [snip role-play]

Opt-in really is the best option
