How and where to put advertising in WordPress Blog

    Hi,
Got a server installed WordPress blog (3 column). I used the supplied Text widget to paste in some adsense code and also some code from an affiliate. I put this widget in my right column. I would also like to put some advertising in my left column. Can I just paste any code I get from an advertiser at the bottom of the Comments field, for example? Once I used the Text widget it was not available to put in my left column as well, so just wondering what is the best way to go about putting advertising code in my left column, even if I could maybe duplicate that Text widget I used for the right column. Hope that makes sense. I'm new to this.

    Thanks.

You may have to edit your theme directly or add a new widget to your blog. If you have to edit your theme files, you can find them located under wp-content/themes/yourthemename/

If the widget is not allowing you to put in the code you can always look for the code on your server and just insert it directly.

    WordPress text widget

With WordPress you should be able to edit how many text widgets you can have.

scroll down a bit on the widgets edit page.
