I've just discovered that IE (version < 7.x) does not support PNG images.
Basically i've read that we can walkaround it by using alphafilter.
therefore, in order to load the right css file, i would like to test if the alphafilter command is available or not. (which is equivalent to detect browser + version).
How can i do that ?
thanks a lot,

I think the best way to do this is to use conditional comments around a <script> element to target IE6 and below only. The script would apply the AlphaImageLoader workaround to your images, whether it is a specific number of them or all PNGs in the page.
This script does a good job of making PNGs transparent in IE6-.
