Roleplaying
Does anyone here do or has done any form of roleplaying? Wether it is Pen and Paper (like Vampire, world of Darkness, AD&D, ...), Computer game Roleplaying (not meaning World of Warcraft, but real hardcore roleplay like someone Neverwinter Nights persistent worlds) or LARP?

Why does WoW not count? It's a persistent world like any other... Anyway, I RPed on MUDs for years. Moved my character to WoW eventually, now I don't play.

I actually run a few D&D campaigns here in Vegas... keeps the creative juices flowing and (believe it or not, corporate america) has actually helped me with management and delegation techniques.

I don't want this to turn into a discussion wether Wow counts as roleplaying but i've played on several Roleplay heavy servers in WoW and found the roleplay quality pretty poor, still alot of OOC talk in public channels and alot of players are way to gear/experience focussed. I've played a character in a persistent neverwinter nights world for a long time and when i quit i was level 3 ... i just enjoyed roleplaying that much that adventuring and rising to a higher level, this getting more powerfull wasn't all that important.
D&D is a great way to vent some stress we build up from day to day ... I, as the DM, enjoy doing all the preparation work during the week to end up playing a thrilling adventure session on friday evening with some friends, a couple of beers and some junk food█ Webdevelopment : Skyrocket Concepts • Inventis Web Architects

Yeah, I'm in a couple. Of course, they're all BattleTech related, but eh. I like having my giant walking tanks and black-water navies obliterating whatever dares even so much as look at me cross-eyed.
And then the explainations as to why you did what you did afterword (not to mention all the diplomacy and all that) gets really interesting...Save the Internet - Use Opera | May my mother rest in peace: 1943-2009

I'm always a mage. I like having the ability to change the world around me. Same kind of trend in the anime I like to watch... my favorites are almost always series where main characters are using superhuman abilities to fight evil (Bleach, Shakugan no Shana, Fullmetal Alchemist, No Eien, Mai Hime, Read or Die, etc.).
