Border with tabs

I'm having trouble realising my mockup!
There's a 1px border on the content section, with 5 tabs on top. I don't want the border to show under the active tab, but I can't think of a way to achieve it!
I've attached an image to show what I want to do... I'd appreciate any ideas!

There's no code at the moment, I'm just wondering of the best method to achieve the effect.

Nope, I can't see the attachment. Only Advisors and up can.

I've worked out a way of doing it now, but it's not pretty. Rather than putting the top border of the white section in with CSS, it's in the page background. The tab images then all have a 1px line on the bottom of them, with the exception of the active tab. The tabs are absolutely positioned to be in line with the page background.

Is there a better way?
