    Wayback Machine Alternatives

I am currently trying to get a snapshot of a website where a reproduction of a photo I created was illegally displayed as the website owners work, a copyright infingement offence that is currently going to court.

Wayback Machine does not have a cache of the image in place on the website as the archiving dates are before and after the image was in place.

Is there anyway I can prove that the image was in place in the defendants website?

Depending on how long it was up, Google may have have it. I quite often find older pages through Google's cache. Not really sure how you'd find it though but there's probably someone here who does...

Search Google for the page. When you find it in Google's listing, look for the CACHED version.
For example, searching Google for Sitepoint you get this as the first listing.

SitePoint : New Articles, Fresh Thinking for Web Developers and ...

SitePoint.com - With a vast variety of web design tutorials and articles...
Cached - Similar pages - Note this - Filter - History

I highlighted Cached in red so you won't miss where it is.
