    Changing url values using javascript

    Hi guys,

I'm currently building an Ajax/Jquery based app where lists can be refreshed and searches made without refreshing using Jquery. However, when I process new blocks of data this way I can't update the address bar to reflect on the change.

I have seen it done though - a good example being Facebook's updated image gallery where images are loaded (it appears to be using Ajax) when scrolling through and the url updates when updating the data.

I was wondering if that were possible, so that I can allow users to link to the results pages.

    Cheers

    url address bar

I don't know what you're seeing at Facebook, but AFAIK most browsers don't let javascript write to the address bar anymore. An "anti-phishing" precaution.
