strange bug + downspeed in ie...

Hi there!

I have 2 concerns that steal my sleep tonight:

- I'm getting a strange bug when changing the className attribute for a span element...in internet explorer 6/7 space is added under the element. In the demo those span elements look like checkboxes, but this is just the background-image.

- in internet explorer 6 the javascript is exorbitant slow...needs more than 5 seconds for loading and the script is still not finished...is there any way to get it faster? And why is that? In all other browsers and IE7 speed is pretty ok.

PS please don't wonder why spans have to look and behave like checkboxes...the reason is, I want to have checkboxes with 3 stadiums: selected, not selected and half selected and there is pretty no element for this...

thanks, I fixed the errors you displayed.
But it seems this had nothing to do with the bug.
