Email marketing does work if handled correctly and you do not spam.

If you have a quality promotion, you might want to try contacting a few JVs. If they like what you are offering, they may consider promoting to their lists for a % of the frontend/backend sales etc.

Make sure that your offer is not crap, has some sort of value to the end user i.e. the consumer and over-deliver on value/perceived value. It make take a lot of emails, but if you are sincere, you will eventually hook up with someone.

There are a number of free JV resources that you can find by doing a Google search or asking here in the forum. This is one method that will usually provide you with a targeted list, courtesy of the JV which will assist you in building your own quality, double optin list. It has more potential than buying 100,000,000,000,000 optin email list for $5.

Another option is to search for quality co-reg service providers. Be careful with this one though as while there are good services, at a reasonable price, some are expensive when starting out and others may provide you with poor quality delivery/targeted lists.

There are some good ones though but remember, if you are being offered 100,000,000,000,000 optin email list for $5/$20, you can be sure that it's crap. Save your money and research paid advertising methods.

I think mamjap's comments were right on the money.

A legit business owner with a large list may consider doing a promotion with you, but I doubt if they'd ever consider "giving" their list to anyone for any price. A good opt-in list is like gold to a legit business and they'd be foolish to not protect it as best as they can.

In regards to hollywood's comment that "Agreed, email does'nt work effectively" - I'd really have to disagree with that.

The marketing research I've seen indicates that legit businesses marketing to their customer or opt-in lists see about a 50:1 return on their investment which is better than just about any other marketing they might do.

And sadly, it must be worth it for the lowlife spammers of the world or they wouldn't still be doing it, would they? I don't get that people actually buy the crap these spammers sell, but they must be for spammers to keep mailing that grabage.

If you need the email list, you might want to consider buying it from companies such as autoresponder plus and many others... However, you will need money to buy from them. My view is that it might not be worthwhile. I would suggest start to capture your reader email step by step.

The best list will come from people who love your site and want to be a part of it. That can only come from hard work over a period of time.
