how to ping google?
how do you ping google to notify new content in website?
is there a difference between pinging for blog and for website?
also, once you ping, how long does it usually take for google to cache the new content?

You don't need to ping Google, if your site is indexed then it will periodically crawl your website looking for new links.
Most people just leave it at that, but if you need extra crawling functionality, then have a Google for "Google Sitemap".
