I was robbed using Echeck fraud

Someone purchased services from me using Echecks on Paypal.

After one month, they claimed someone went on a shopping spree with their account and requested a refund from their bank. I lost $120.00.

The buyer used a Yahoo email account. Gmail does not list the IP addresses of the senders, so I have way of knowing his IP address.

    Moral of this story
I'll never accept Echecks or checks unless it's from a trusted customer.
I wish i knew this before.

With echecks, I always wait until the echeck clears before sending merchandise or rendering a service.

The echeck cleared. But the buyer claimed someone else "went on a christmas shopping spree".

The cancellation was done at bank one month after the payment.

This has nothing to do with echecks. You'd have the same problem if they paid by credit card and filed a chargeback, or if they paid with PayPal funds and reported the transaction as unauthorized. The merchant is almost always the liable party when an unauthorized transaction is made, even if there was no way for you to know. It's a cost of doing business.
