What would it take to get my site to a PR7 by the nex update? If I buy 300 links this month and then 300 next month would google ban me? Any idea when the next update might be? Thanks for your response!

PR has nothing to do with quantity. It has to do with quality. Having said that, there is no way to even guess how many it would take as way too many factors affect it. Just know it would be very difficult to do and I wouldn't expect it to happen quickly.

Stop focusing on PageRank since it's a useless metric. And jumping right to PR 7?

And if you don't buy those 300 links a month, I will and get your site banned. After that I'll do the same with google.com and yahoo.com.
