I have a client who wants me to write a perl program to connect to an access database, does anybody know which perl modules I need to use to connect to the database and a place where I can find info about access commands so I can get at the data? please don't tell me to go with a different database because that is the one the customer wants to use.
You need to be able to connect to through an ODBC datasource to your Access Database. I can't recall ever hearing of someone connecting to access through perl but it can probably be done. there are articles about Access at msdn.microsoft.com. Also O'Reilly press has a good book for beginning access users called "Designing and Programming Access Databases" It goes over the Visual Basic language used to control access and using ODBC through DAO and ADO to connect to the databse.
