    W3 validation contradiction with overflow-x

    This is weird, when I go to validate my CSS, it says that

    Property overflow-x doesn't exist : hidden

    This declaration is in my body{

    It does exist, and it works (quite well) so that my page won't scroll horizontally (except in IE6 of course).

    Any suggestions on how to get this to validate, or is this just an error I can overlook? I'm not coding it improperly am I? Thanks!

    overflow-x and overflow-y are defined only in CSS 3 which is still a working draft.

    It is, however, supported in Firefox and IE and Opera, I think.

    It will if you select CSS3 as the validation criteria

    W3C CSS Validator Results for file://localhost/TextArea

    Valid CSS information

    body { overflow-x : hidden;

    }
