I'm doing a site where I want users to create accounts, and be able to edit them. i want them to be able to upload files and have access to them (and only to them). I want the accounts to be managed by the database, and not by unix. I'm using php3. Any tutorials or help on that matter would be apreciated.
    Thanx

Well, you have a bunch of different options here. But first, what amount of data will these users be storing? Are we talking about a remote harddisk or simply some text files, preferences, bookmarks etc?

You will have to determine the answer to the above question before deciding what route to go...

I store some 800 MB of data directly in a mySQL database and use php to manipulate it.

On the other hand, you can have the data stored directly on a disk and simply use username/password info in the database to limit access to the files.
