Question on worlds postcodes/countries

Hi Guys,

i have downloaded postcodes and world cities from:

http://www.populardata.com/downloads.html
http://www.maxmind.com/app/geolitecity

but is there any tutorials on how to use them in your websites? they are in .txt and .csv not quite sure how to use them in say a registration page for example and hint in the right direction would be great

Probably import them into your database. Might need to build a parser.
