    Threads on Sitepoint being Indexed...

    Hi -

I just realized, and this is my mistake, I posted a thread last week in CSS for some help. I copied and pasted my markup, without even realizing that I had title tags n such. That thread is now the #2 spot on google, right after my client.

Is there anyway of editing or stopping that from being indexed? I know...rookie mistake

Go to the original post and edit out the title tag or change the content of the title tag.

I just tried it with one of my opening posts, without actually editing, the edit function is available so you should be able to...
Otherwise, post in the sitepoint forum feedback section so that one of the admin can help.

If it's on the sitepoint forums, i think it locks posts after a certain amount of time so that only a forum mod can edit a post

Yep. We don't want people going back to edit posts and ruin a thread which does occasionally happen. If someone needs a thread edited just posting in the SitePoint Support and Feedback forum will get you some help.

You're missing an opportunity you just created for yourself.

Now you can propose to the client a reputation management campaign so that they can control the top 25 SERPS for their company name.
