    December = Slow Month?

    Has anybody else had a bad month with their sites for sales? I'm down this month by a lot.

    It all depends on what you're selling.

    This season has been great for consumer sales. As others noted, it also depends on your niche. Business sales are somewhat down in December with so many holidays and no one working (buying for business).

    I usually see more traffic in December. My sites cater to a younger audience, and when school is out they tend to visit my sites more often.

    I had an increase in earnings during the first part of December and then they slowed during nearer the Christmas period and after it, but are slowly getting back to normal again. Overall, my earnings are up this month.

    I'm up a couple percent on ad income in December vs. November. But some networks are way down.. in particular Adsense is down 36% which is the biggest loser for me in December. Thankfully some of the other networks are way up.

    My Adsense earnings were way down for me from mid Dec, and completely awful around the 25th. It's been slowly climbing back since.

    Ebook sales were way down for Dec. too.
    CPA and affiliate income was about the same (but that's way down compared to last year). Kontera has been stable.

    I am starting to see earning go back up slowly... but not taking any chances - I am working hard on new content and sites now.

    Im in advertising and its been a crappy month for me. My ecommerce sites are all summer time related so that didn't help either. Winters are never good for me.

    Well I finished December with it being the best earnings month ever... so even though some things like Adsense were way off, overall it was a great month. January, on the other hand, is so far in the toilet... but thats normal for the beginning of January.

    Adsense & affiliate sales kinda meh for xmas but picking up now. Big earner at the moment is debt management referrals(!) ot: I watched Superman III over xmas and thought Gus Gorman getting a cheque for all those lost pennies = early Shoemoney, hehe!

    December was good, apart from Adsense which was terrible.

    January is the lowest I've ever seen for all types of CPM, but Adsense is up a bit. Adsemse is still terrible compared to 6 months ago though, and abysmal compared to 12 months ago.

    Don't even get me started about AdSense, it reached a record low. Though every program has been sucking big time so far this month (and like someone else said, also the last 5 days of December) Adsense has been by far the worst of all.

    I'm gona stop checking my earnings for this month, it makes me depressive. I'm almost starting to think that it won't be going up again at all.

    Don't see Adsense improving, just been a downward spiral for over a year. It has almost reached a point where you're giving away ad space for free. I've stopped using adwords since for some reason the price for buying advertising in the same niches just keeps going up while the amounts you get paid as publisher goes down. The math doesn't add up, it's like money disappears in the middle somewhere (like google taking a bigger and bigger cut or something)
