I'm looking for a script that will let visitors to my site upload a file(txt, pdf, doc, etc) and some way for others to see and download that very same file.
(I'm running a site where writers can upload their stories for other writers to critique)

I've looked in cgi-resources, but the link for the script I needed(from Jeff's script archives) doesn't work. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

    Hi,

What you are saying can be easily done using
ASP. Goto ASPIN.COM for more information.
    Search for upload scripts.

Normally you'd need an Upload Component
    Installed on the NT server.

    You are right.
ASP is for NT. I developed an online
    database document system using uploading
    components in NT.

Hm.. I am not versed with UNIX.
    cgi-resources remains your best bet
for scripts and resources for uploading.

    Best Regards/Allwin

Don't quote me on this, but I believe there is a program that will allow ASP to run on Unix. Search Microsoft's site.

Well I did see a upload script at cgi-resoures.com and it had lots of feature such as file size limit, what directory files should be uploading, upload 5 files at a time. Go to Perl Script and click on File Uploading
