    Pop up menu problems

    Hi,

I have a page with an in-line frame on it. Above the in-line frame i have several links with pop menus, so when a user points the mouse on one of those links a javascript pop up menu will show up. The problem is that when the pop up menu shows up, it appears behind the in-line frame and not in front.

I used fireworks to create the pop up menu and it actually works fine with internet explorer but not with netscpae nor opera.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    go here

    z-index

Netscape 4 does not support the "z-index" property.

    try

    having a go with this?

    stylesheets

I think it should work with netscape 6 as it mentions about cross browser compatibility. But theres loads of examples, just check that site out, i'm sure it's got an example somewhere

    dynduo

p.s. I don't know nothing about netscape compatibility as I couldn't stand netscape the first time I used it and haven't used it since. So I guess theres a few users out there that do including you, so I will have to keep that in mind when designing:P.

Thanks. I will check the links.

I don't like netscape either but unfortunatley as a web developer i have to make sure that the page i work on is compatible with all the browsers, so i have no choice. If it was my web page i would probably leave it like that but it's not, so i cannot ignore the problem. Thanks again.
