    advertising networks aggregator

    Hello,

I'm a complete newbie on advertising so please go easy on me I'm signing up with a few networks (adbrite, adengage, etology) and was wondering whether there was a service which aggregates and tracks all your networks accounts and issues one javascript code? I'm noticing several websites' ads point to a ad.yielmanager.com url. what is that exactly? is this what I'm looking for? also how would I go about creating a ad chain?

    thanks in advance

The Rubicon Project will do it. I've just got accepted with them but haven't started using it yet.

Currently I'm running OpenAds and just managing it myself.

Yield Manager (YM) is an ad serving solution developed by Right Media (which has since been acquired by Yahoo) as an ad exchange/marketplace. If you see ads pointing to ad.yieldmanger.com then that site is using one or more ad network that utilizes YM.

Direct Media Exchange is basically a publisher front-end to YM allowing publishers to have a variety of the ad networks they use bid for each impression in real-time and making a central place to login to check stats etc. It allows publishers to fully integrate many YM networks and also add other non-YM networks as more traditional defaults at a set price (sometimes known as floating defaults).

Recently there has been the development of some tools aimed at publishers to fully integrate each of their ad networks into a single interface for optimisation, stats checking, defaulting and more. Take a look at The Rubicon Project, PubMatic and YieldBuild. These tools are very new though (some still in beta), so they may not have worked out all the kinks yet.

If you want to take a look at how traditional and simple ad network chaining and defaulting works I wrote a tutorial on doing them over at AdBalance.

For the past ten years, I've been using OpenAds (then PHPADSNEW) for ad serving within a tiered system. Always seemed the best way. Testing Pubmatic to see how it works. Never cared for an ad network (Right Media) have access to all my stats and data from all the networks that I use for my sites. I believe there are many people who share this position. However, as Tim stated, these independent firms my have some intrinsic value.

I go with same reply as "masm50" wrote above.

For Yield Manager, I guess you got all required info at http://www.yieldmanager.com/

Also amongst many, I heard that adbrite is better option.

    All the best!
