I had been killing it with adsense for almost all year. ecpm always over $2.

then this month rolled around. Basically the same amount if impressions, the same CTR but my ecpm is under 25 cents

I don't know if it's just me but all of my sites that DO run Google has had a 404 Page appearing for the last couple of days, I've never had this problem before. I've been switching all of my websites to Adbrite lately anyways but this is very unusual... And $1700 a day, WOWZERS, I've never reached $50 a day lol, my average is usuallly 15-20 a day

Not important what site it's for just wanted to see if this is a trend for everyone and not just me.

It went down even lower recently. I might be switching over to a network box soon temporarily unless google steps it up. My CPC is well under a penny now!

I agree, but the United States economy has been sucking this whole year. Shops have reported that sales have gone down too.

Adsense trick of the day your revenue goes down because of lack of innovation . check this out you have change your adsense blocks on a constnat basis becuase usually if you have people who return to your site(guy making 700>1700 and i know you have returning guest) they usual get something called ad blindness I have changed up my ads once a week and my ecpm is definitely above 2.50

I used to make over $2000 a month with Adsense. A few months ago when they made changes to their ads, my revenue hit rock bottom - to about $500 a month. Never did find out why or what happened, but it continues to get worse each month. I'm about to just get rid of them altogether on my site. (Thankfully I have other ads that have increased over the past few months to make up for Google's decrease).

Question: In your opinion do content ads bring in more than any of the other services? I have three content ads, two text and one picture and I'm only bringing in about 5 dollars a day... I've thought about switching to referral ads but I haven't had time to really look into whether it is worth it or not. I know that referrals pay more per click than content text but want to know what your experience is on number of clicks you get on referrals versus content?

This was changed before December, It would have a big affect on revenue, but I think changes would be been more noticeable beforehand.

Yup, I've also noticed the drop during December. Specifically the last 2 weeks of December.

Looking forward to Monday when everyone (in SA) will be back in action!

I would do well to note that the first 2 weeks of December were exceptionally good. I think people went on holiday and had nothing else better to do than read stuff on the net.

Agreed First 2 weeks was a 30% Increase, folloing two weeks about 10%, then 15% drop; Currently, the drop is about 25% lowered even more. So I'm predicting revenue since the holidays dropped revenue -(5% - 7%); hopeing it will rise back an extra 3%, so far I'm loosing $100 a month currently. Not good for revenue, and promoting investement money.

January for me, so far, has been fantastic. I made some changes to my main earner and it's gone from $17 a day to $30. Still working on improving the CTR and traffic, though.
