Help - Someone clicking on my ads repeatedly!

Hi all,

I need some help.

I had someone go and click on my ads in google, yahoo and msn repeatedly around 1000 times each over a 2 hour period earlier in the week. (btw website is in Australia)

It was on the same keyword on each that they targeted.

I need some advice on the following,

• How do I let google and yahoo search marketing know about this to refund me the money?
• How do I find out who it was and what sort of action can I take?
• How do I stop this from happening again?

Who here has had these sort of experiences and what success have they had to stop it from happening again.

p.s. On a side note, they also cause me to get a crap load more paid visitors for that term as somehow what they did bumped me up on ad ranking system in google as the number of impressions I had jumped through the roof though I was already at the spot number 2.

I think it is better to contact the Google Support staff. They will surely help you. On long run, it may be a problem for you, if you repeatedly get the same clicks.

Do you know if they refund the clicks automatically or do you have to apply for it?

I don't know about refunds but it's best to contact Google adsense to inform them about your suspicions. You might even consider removing adsense for a while.

I had this problem with adwords and although they DID refund a good portion of the money I decided to stop using their service because it took quite sometime for the issue to be resolved and I didn't think it should have taken a long time (2 weeks) to "Investigate" the issue.
