What's Changed? Are Their Any New 'Big Guns' ?

    Hello fellow SitePointers,

Hope you are all well - some of you might remember me, some might not.

I've been out of the game so to speak for near a year now and have been content in running my current crop of advertising networks (TribalFusion (who continue to deliver brilliant rates for me), CasaleMedia, ValueClickMedia, and Google Ad Sense).

My question is, simply - what has changed?

Are there any new emerging advertising networks to consider (looking from a CPM perspective) and can they rival the likes of TribalFusion etc.

    Thanks!

    Same question here Amish.

It's been about a year since I really evaluated which ad networks I use, and figure it was about time to look around and see if there are any new players I should consider.

Scrolling though this place, doesn't look like anything has changed.

    It's still

    Adsene
    Tribal Fusion
    Casale
    Valueclick

Are there any new contenders I should know about besides them? I've noticed a few people mention Clicksor and Adpepper. What's the word on them? Are they sort of Valueclick like?

Another "oldie" here in a similar boat Same networks, except for Tribal Fusion, which I left ages ago because of their horrible interface (please tell me they changed that...). How about CPA networks? are they performing better these days? Never had much luck with them before.

Oh, one network that I did add is Kontera and I'm very happy with their checks which keep growing steadily every month.

Burst is still working nicely for me, and AdPepper gets me similar rates to AdPepper, but I don't have enough remnant impressions to give them a full blown trial as of yet.

AdPepper has been horrid since the Summer. I dropped them for good in October. Other other ones mentioned are still the best of the best.

No they haven't changed it, but my rep told me they are working on a new one. Strange you would leave it though when they pay twice as much as the next best network.

I have never understood how anyone can make money with Burst. Their fill rates are sooo low that it's impossible to make anything. Have never made a dime with them, and eventually gave up trying.

For whoever it was that asked... Tribal is Betaing a new interface.

Unfortunately, it works exactly like the old interface it just looks glossier. I'm not sure why they bothered.

So nothing new in the world eh? I'm trying Bidvertiser right now. I contacted Adsense and they said I was OK to use it with Adsense as long as I change the colors so it doesn't look like Google ads. I guess I'll see what happens. Anyone had any luck with them?

And so is AdPepper worth a shot or not? It sounds like they're about on par with ValueClick... which is bad since ValueClick's rates have really gotten HORRIBLE lately.

Earning around .56 CPM with ValueClick. Both companies are far between par. However, test and see networks do best for your site. Theres like a gazillion of them now.

No matter how awful their interface is, their rates are unmatched for me.

    Hello,

We are actually working on upgrading the interface. A new publisher center will soon become available
You can read about it in this interview

Kontera is a new big gun. It's a good network for some people (including me).

What type of internet marketing do you all do? Sorry, I'm new to the blog. And why do you prefer running with CPM networks over CPA networks? Thanks.

Because they havnt realized that monetizing your sites properly with CPA offers will make them a ton more money than the lazy mans route of throwing up a banner.

That is ridiculous. Yes, CPA programs will perform better on some, but certainly not all, websites.

9/10 you can better monetize your site with either a CPA offer or your own product. If you don't believe it, most CPM companies run dynamic CPM, which means, your CPM is based on how well your traffic converts. If you are running companies like CPX interactive or any yield manager platform, chances are you are just leaving money on the table.

Hey Amish, I was just about to make a similar thread

Is Casale still paying well? A couple of my friends who use them say their rates have gone way down from that hot peroid they were having a while back
