    Question best javascript editorand debugger

    Hi,

I'm now working on developing a JS class for a learning purposes.
i use to work with Zend studio at work or with Eclipse.

however, debuging is not the best aspect of those tools when we work on JS code.

Moreover the autocompletion for JS code is not supported.
therefore i would like to know which IDE/tool you use for your JS coding ?

    thx.

    M.

If your an eclipse user already then check Aptana. It's brilliant and has some really powerful JS features built in like JSLint and ScriptDoc.
There is only one real JS debugger for me and thats firebug. I think many would agree that you couldn't do without it in todays JS world.

Visual Web developer 2008 Express Edition
Check out these two videos to learn some more:
    Javascript debugging in VS 2008
Javascript Intellisense support in VS 2008
Both are short like 8-9 mins each, but show alot of nice features.

    firebug and scribes,textmate,e-text-editor

If you know anything about unix shells, textmate for mac is fantastic, scribes in linux is very similar, an e-text editor is a textmate clone for windows. They work absolutely great and venkman and firebug with firefox are the best debugging tools imho.
