I've never had an excuse to take pictures of my technology!

A vague glimpse at technology in action - my desk. Well, Some of it.
You'll notice all the hallmark traits of a workspace, PC, USB Memory sticking out from it, Printer, Telephone, Monitor. Coffe cup. Etc.
The only piece that isn't in there is my phone which i'm taking the pic with
You may even notice the windows "restart your computer for the updates to take effect" box in the middle of the screen - huh technology you say?

Datura,
AMAZING!! Nothing else can describe it.

ManigaPhoto,

ArmChair,
If only I had the computers they use in TV shows, I could zoom in and enhance that photo* and read all the 'proprietary' data on those papers on your desk.
Steal your top clients and get your laundry list!!! Muhahaha.
*recreating data that is lost to pixelation.

What better represents "Technology" than the US Space Program?
This is the 'gift shop' at Orlando International Airport.
Living in Orlando, am able to watch every launch from our home.
Here is the view from my home/office.

The speed at which goods can be transported is truly a wonder of technology!
Is it 'cheating' to post in two places?
The other day for some reason I was staring at my soda can thinking about how cool the pop tab inventions was (i regularly think about things that don't matter) and I thought...Hey! That's technology, and voila!

Sara,
You make a great point. We take for granted many 'simple' items that require a large amount of 'engineering'. Think about the amount of pressure in that can (particularly during transit, as it is jostled). The 'pop top' must withstand that pressure within a defined tolerance and STILL be easy to open!
I, too, am awed by [seemingly] insignificant things.
That is a nice pic, simply a utility object and also as a used object also.![]()

When I was a child, the christmas tree we would find in the woods and set up on the 24th, had clip on holders to burn beeswax candles. An unforgettable aroma, the fresh tree and the candles. Today we use these. They are safe, and technology made it so, but it is just not the same.

Okay, so is this a good use of technology or a bad use?
