A vague glimpse at technology in action - my desk. Well, Some of it.

You'll notice all the hallmark traits of a workspace, PC, USB Memory sticking out from it, Printer, Telephone, Monitor. Coffe cup. Etc.

The only piece that isn't in there is my phone which i'm taking the pic with

You may even notice the windows "restart your computer for the updates to take effect" box in the middle of the screen - huh technology you say?

    ArmChair,
If only I had the computers they use in TV shows, I could zoom in and enhance that photo* and read all the 'proprietary' data on those papers on your desk.

Steal your top clients and get your laundry list!!! Muhahaha.

    Iconic Technology

What better represents "Technology" than the US Space Program?

This is the 'gift shop' at Orlando International Airport.

Living in Orlando, am able to watch every launch from our home.

Here is the view from my home/office.

    Technology Reflected

The speed at which goods can be transported is truly a wonder of technology!

This is a great shot Parkin The Fedex, I too marvel at the service they provide with their latest technology.

The Nasa shop is fun. I too can see all launches when the weather is good. Distant though. I run out to the front of the house and look eastward.

    Sara,
You make a great point. We take for granted many 'simple' items that require a large amount of 'engineering'. Think about the amount of pressure in that can (particularly during transit, as it is jostled). The 'pop top' must withstand that pressure within a defined tolerance and STILL be easy to open!
I, too, am awed by [seemingly] insignificant things.

    Strings Of Light

When I was a child, the christmas tree we would find in the woods and set up on the 24th, had clip on holders to burn beeswax candles. An unforgettable aroma, the fresh tree and the candles. Today we use these. They are safe, and technology made it so, but it is just not the same.

    Convenient Plastic

Convenient Plastic is just that: convenient. I took out my xmas stuff and washed out the container, letting it dry in the sun. The backlighting made it look like e jewel

    Thanks Sara

All things around us have an appeal to take a picture really. I watch the lighting on objects, it is a grown habit of mine from long years of observing to paint and abstract properly.
