    Ajax with POST

    Hey guys,

I'm trying to learn Ajax with PHP and it's really bugging me getting started. What I would like to do is click a button/link and have a form submit values to a php script and output the results. I can find a few tutorials using $GET but can't find a POST equivilent. Are there any tips/tutorial links for me to look at - ideally I wanted to use post as it's either sensitive or long (blocks of text) I'm looking at.

    thanks in advance

http://javascript.about.com/library/blajax05.htm compares the code for a get request and a post request

http://javascript.about.com/od/ajax/a/ajaxgp.htm covers when you should use GET and when you should use POST.

    sitepoint

There's also a great introduction to simple ajax calls with jquery on this site (sitepoint) that is insanely simple to follow. A great place to start i think.
