Google Minimum per click?

There has been a downward trend starting last month in revenue from my Google ads.

This month is not starting to look any better.

I woke up this morning to find 8 clicks so far on my blog, [not bad as it is first thing in the morning] an 8.60% Page CTR, with earnings of .02!

How is that possible, 8 clicks = 2 cents?

it could be any number of things..

maybe the value of the clicks havent been fully reported yet.
you could be earning on a CPM basis, so number of clicks doesnt matter.

either way, 8 clicks isnt going to get you a statistically accurate eCPC, hundreds, if not thousands are needed.

If the minimum is a penny, then I find that 8 clicks with 2 cents a little worrisome.

Usually the site does ok, but reports even early on, like that, seem suspicious.
But if steb says that the number of people clicking through is a possible full report and the column of money earned isn't a full report, would seem strange, but I woudn't pretend to know everything to refute it.

Well has anyone else noticed in the past 30 days or so a decrease, not in click throughs, but in what google pays out?

Switch to Yahoo Publisher Network...works well for me..

You should work on finding an affiliate program that will pay you good commissions for your time rather that pennies messing with Google

Well, I can't say others aren't doing well with their googles.
But I get what you're saying.
A combination of both doing well would be nice.


It's the drop in payout that has me puzzled, and I was curious if I was the only one I guess.

Another thing that is not mentioned in the post that follows yours is that some of them clicks could be fraudulent which may then still show the clicks, but the earnings for them clicks will be $0, giving you less earnings, which is only of 2 cents as only 1 or 2 of them clicks were not fraudulent. That is only the worst case scenario, but does happen.
