    Ohhh, not good!! I hate that tool, you get too many points, and you don't get the accuracy and lovely smooth lines of manual paths. Also, the file will take longer to 'rip' as there are more points to plot on the clipping path if you save it as an EPS for DTP.

    However, if you MUST use it I believe what you are after is the 'freeform pen tool', rather than the magnetic lasso tool, that just creates selections. You get this by holding your mouse down on the pen tool, and you get the other tools on the 'fly-out' of this button (more tools under that one that come out of the side). Click on 'Freeform Pen Tool', and tick the 'magnetic' option on the options bar...and there you go!! This will give you a work path as aposed to a selection.

    You just can beat smooth manual paths though, even if they do take a little longer (which they don't as you always have to clean up the auto paths ones!!).
