pnmleoscale vs. pnmscale
I've copied one of my sites from a shared server to my new dedicated server.
A PHP script on the site handled jpeg upload/optimisation using these three handly utils:
On my new dedicated server, djpeg and cjpeg came pre-installed, but pnmscale did not.
In searching around for the package that contains pnmscale, I came across an alternative which claims to be a lot better (higher quality, but at the expense of being more CPU intensive):
My question - does anyone have any experience using pnmleoscale? If so, any issues I should know about? Are 'Leopolds' claims of superiority justified?
