    Gmail Users - Does this happen to you?

    1. Open Gmail To do a specific task
    2. Wait for all the ajaxified goodness to load
    3. Forget what you wanted to do in the first place

    Argh....it can be frustrating....

    I use Gmail with Thunderbird.

    It only takes about 5 seconds to load, and usually I'm just in other tabs while it loads.

    It takes much longer to load here depending on the time of day. I use ThunderBird as well, but I use it mainly for offline archiving purposes. I prefer the way the web interface displays discussions in one thread.

    gmail never takes more than 5 second on avg to load for me, so never had that problem

    Don't have any such problems here... why not switch to the standard view which doesn't use JavaScript as you might get better performance in the none JavaScript version

    Actually, I think it had something to with Firebug. I got a notice telling me to disable firebug for Gmail. Seems to be much better now.
