    From the Mind of Monochromedia

Hello, Sitepoint. Long time no see...

I'm here because I've just launched a new website for Free Online File Compression, and I'd like your thoughts on it.

This is version two of the design. Version one was terrible. In this version, I tried to reach a happy medium between design and ad placement/colors.

    Any thoughts, tips or suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Peter

EDIT: Added a fade effect to the upload area.

I like the idea of your site , and the design is good , but there is a little problem. There are too much ads , and the part that has the textbox and browse button (the gray one) is difficult to see and makes the site less usable. If you did it to get more accidental ad clicks , you better rethink of it because I got my adsense account terminated this way.Keep up the good work

I like your design. Looks pretty good. The idea, however, seems kind of outdated. Compression tools come built into all OS now, so I don't see the need for it. Plus, you might consider allowing people to do bulk uploads. That would make your sevice twice as appealing I think.

Not a bad idea of making a few AdSense dollars .

Well the advantage is that it holds the file until you download it from another computer or send the link to a friend.
