503 Service temp unav.. (was "HELP HELP HELP! Please")
Ok so I've been learning ruby on my windows os. However, I have been managing a rails site hosted on a mac X server for the school and I am not very familiar with Mac's.
The issue:
Software and Firmware update over thxgiving break by my boss required a restart.
10.4.11
Upon returning a day early I get a call that the site is 503 "Service temp unav.."
My best guess:
Since the update required a restart. I am guessing that rails, webrick, mongrel, mysql...something did not start upon restart and is causing this issue.
On a mac...How do i check that rails is running the site properly with everything it needs?
Also, I could be completely wrong about the issue being a non-running service on reboot so if anybody has any ideas please offer them up.
Thank you!!
