    I found this code but I did not try it yet.
    Code:

    <script type="text/javascript">
    function stoperror(){
    return true
    }
    window.onerror=stoperror
     </script>

    error message to status bar

    So it isn't that you have a script with errors that aren't being shown in IE, but that you want to have your script display messages in the status bar? eg.
    HTML Code:
    if ( var == 'custom error' ){
    window.status = "an error message";
    }
    Or is that your code has errors, but you don't want IE users to see the messages? IMHO it is not a good idea to try and NOT show error messages, it is best to fix them. Not that many users will even notice the error in the status bar anyway. Most will just notice that something isn't working and most likely leave.
    If you have code that attempts to do something that may fail (eg. HTTP request), it would be best to fix the code to deal with the error, not fall down.
