    PayPerPost for Marketing

I saw this PayPerPost, where advertiser pays a blogger to create a buzz for his business.

Now I wanna know if this is effective way of promoting your website?

What i know is that it could be either good words or bad words for you.

    What's your thougth on this???

I've used it and it's pretty decent. I got a couple inbound links from it and it produces some traffic. You have to do a lot of them if you really want to use it as a marketing tool, but I do think it works.

PayPerPost seem to be nice and getting some traffics depend on what is your budget.

    My budget ???

My budget will be decided by those bloggers. How much would they want so that they'll write something decent?

Wonder if US$10 is enough? Anyone know the range? Or it kept as secret?

Having people blog about your site can certainly bring you traffic but it takes many blog entries for that traffic to add up and you need to find the right company to provide quality, meaningful content. I highly doubt you'll see any results if your entire budget is $10 -- that's just not enough money to be able to expect someone to research a topic and write on it. If however you wanted to pay someone $10 per piece for 25 pieces ($250) it would be much more reasonable to expect quality content and you'd end up with far more traffic as you would be able to spread posts out to multiple blogs.

My experience with PPP has been bad, but that's probably just because I chose a bad blog... I'm guessing if you pick the right blogs (the ones worth the money) that it can be effective.

The money/time issue for pay-for-post is also why your blog gets 100 spam comments a day...you know, those comments that come in that say "Hey! Great post!" or "I agree" or "I liked your blog post and will come back to read the rest of it later"...

Comments like that are easily deleted in bulk by blog owners and they rarely get posted. Even if they do get posted, comments like those don't bring you traffic. Even if they do bring you traffic, it's not going to be quality targeted traffic.

These are all automated submissions where ppp companies will tell you they'll submit blog posts for you to thousands of blogs every day for "your $10". So, if that's what you're looking for, that's what you'll get.

It is a good idea. But with everything its quality that counts. Also i would look for a blog that would do this service at thier discretion. If the blog will review anyone positively for money I doubt it would have many loyal readers.

You would have more benefit of creating a pool of, say, 20 people that would commit to visiting and commenting on each other's blogs. We could actually set something up like that right now if you wanted to. I would be happy to participate by visiting everyone's blogs in this thread and making a comment a week or every few days if you would commit to doing the same for me. Doesn't always require hiring someone, y'know?

I like the idea of lerxtjr of give and take for blog comments. You know the person who are commenting in your blogs and you could talk to them on what is a good or a bad comment for you. Hiring a person is not always the answer to make a website become active.

But as lerxtjr has said, we should return the favor by doing comments on the blogs of the people commenting on our site.

I've found it to be pretty good for advertising my companies new product.

They have a new feature where you can target your "Opportunity" to websites with a high "Real Rank" rating, which means these blogs have lots of traffic, and when i did this, i received quite a lot of traffic from it.

PPP may be good but many blogs recently lost their rank as they insist the blogger to mention "It is sponsored post", so take care dealing with them, the blog you choose today to post may fall in rank.

How's your blog PPP? Any recent updates on your site? Its really not a bad idea to pay a person to write blogs for your site. But before you pay that person, you should have a look at his or her previous works so you will have a glance at what will be the blog on your site.
