    Talking From ASP.NET to PHP.

    Hi all,

Just wondering, does anyone know of any books or references for ASP.NET developers who want to learn PHP? I have no experience with PHP, would I even need a reference like this?

    Cheers,

What area of ASP.NET are you from?

VB - There is a LOT of different syntax, and will be quite hard to get into PHP

C# - Much better. PHP is also C oriented, so syntax isn't that different (but most of PHP is procedural; When you have a bit of experience, OOP is a good option.), and functions are called in a similar way.

If you know how to program, syntax is a minor obstacle. Take the manual and you're good.

Coming from asp.net, you might wanna see the prado framework

Well, I can use either VB.NET or C#.NET...

I guess I just need something to get me started really to compare to. I know that programming is programming (just syntax differences), but its the tips, best practices, common code, etc. that I'd probably need more help with.
